What is FlexiDesk?
FlexiDesk is a Slack app that lets your team book and manage shared workspaces — desks, meeting rooms, car parks, and lockers — all from within Slack. No external tools, no context switching.
Who is FlexiDesk for?
FlexiDesk is built for hybrid and flexible teams of any size. Whether you have 10 desks or 500, if your team shares workspaces and uses Slack, FlexiDesk is for you.
What space types does FlexiDesk support?
FlexiDesk supports four space types: desks, meeting rooms, car parks, and lockers. Each space can have named units (e.g., "Desk 1", "Bay A3") with their own capacity limits.
Do I need to install anything besides the Slack app?
No. FlexiDesk runs entirely inside Slack. There's nothing to download, no accounts to create, and no external dashboards. Your team books directly from the FlexiDesk home tab or via slash commands.
Pricing & Billing
How much does FlexiDesk cost?
FlexiDesk is $2 AUD per bookable spot per month, billed based on your total space capacity. For example, 10 desks + 5 car parks = 15 spots = $30 AUD/month.
Is there a free trial?
Yes! Every new workspace gets a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required to start.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel anytime through the Stripe billing portal. No contracts or minimum commitments.
Do you offer annual billing?
No. FlexiDesk is billed monthly only. Cancel anytime through the Stripe billing portal. No contracts or minimum commitments.
What happens when my free trial ends?
Booking is paused until you subscribe. Your spaces, settings and historical data are preserved — nothing is deleted. Subscribe and everything picks up right where you left off.
Features
Can I set up recurring bookings?
Yes! Routines let your team set recurring bookings for their regular office days. FlexiDesk auto-books their preferred desk every week, fortnight, or month.
What happens when a space is full?
Users can join a waitlist. When a spot opens up (someone cancels), the next person in line gets a Slack DM with 30 minutes to confirm their booking.
Can I book for guests or visitors?
Yes. Any team member can book a desk for a guest without giving them Slack access. Guests appear on the day view alongside their host.
Does FlexiDesk support multiple office locations?
Yes. Create separate spaces for each location with their own capacity, desks, and rules. Your team sees only the locations relevant to them.
Security & Data
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore with encryption at rest and in transit. Each workspace's data is fully isolated.
What Slack permissions does FlexiDesk need?
FlexiDesk requests only the scopes it needs: reading user profiles, sending DMs about bookings, handling slash commands, and displaying the home tab. We never read channel messages.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Your data is retained for 30 days in case of accidental removal, then permanently deleted. You can also request immediate deletion by emailing support@flexidesk.app.
